My MongoDB Local London Experience

In October 2025, I attended MongoDB Local London—and what a spectacular event it was. The organization was excellent, and I had the chance to meet and learn from some of the premier minds behind MongoDB's success across various industries.

The sessions were diverse and inspiring. Igor Alekseev from AWS demonstrated how to build agentic applications combining Amazon Bedrock AgentCore with MongoDB Atlas. Shaun Roberts from Cisco shared the remarkable story of Ascension—scaling from a few hundred workflows per month to over 25 million. Sachin Gupta from Mahindra & Mahindra showed how automotive manufacturing is leveraging MongoDB's hybrid search and time series capabilities for GenAI platforms. Nuri Halperin delivered an elegant talk on Atlas Stream Processing, using a movie theater metaphor to explain time windows and late arrivals.

I have to give special thanks to Veronica from MongoDB, who did a wonderful job bringing together a diverse group of Champions and authors from virtually all around the globe. It was fantastic to finally meet fellow Champions in person, including my Serbian compatriot Nenad —a Mongoose and Node.js expert whose work I've long admired.

Beyond the sessions, the real value was in the conversations—connecting with MongoDB Champions, engineers, and practitioners who are pushing the boundaries of what's possible with data.
